How NamezAI measures AI visibility

NamezAI asks realistic customer questions, records which businesses AI names, checks whether your details are right, and shows what to do next.

Important: these results are a snapshot. We use technical connections to each AI service, not a copy of every person’s app. Answers may differ by question, location, account, app version, and date.

1. Questions we ask

We build about ten customer questions from your type of business, city, state, and services. Questions such as “best … near me” count more because they often come from someone ready to choose a business. You can check the questions before a real run.

2. Whether your business appears

For each question, we record whether your business is named first, named later, briefly listed, shown by website, left out, or not checked. A check that could not run is not counted against you. If several AI services are unavailable, NamezAI waits instead of giving you a misleading partial report.

3. Whether your details are right

We check facts only when your business appears. If nothing can be verified, the report shows “Not enough information” instead of guessing.

4. Your overall score

Your overall score combines how often you appear with whether your details are right. Suggested next steps begin with the clearest issue found.

Visibility is a weighted average across checks that ran: named first = 1.0, named = 0.6, listed only = 0.3, domain only = 0.2, absent = 0. Higher-intent questions weigh up to 1.5×. Correct verified facts count fully; missing facts carry a half penalty; wrong facts carry a full penalty. Owner-entered facts stay labeled “owner provided” unless the owner’s website confirms them. When accuracy can be measured, the overall score is 70% visibility and 30% accuracy.

No claim that one sample represents every user or future answer.
No pay-to-change score.
No claim that schema or an llms.txt file alone makes an AI system cite a business.
